COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Robbie is a high-performance squash coach with nearly a decade of experience competing on the world tour. Ranked consistently in the top eight in Britain and the top 60 in the world, he built a reputation as one of the country’s leading players before transitioning into a successful coaching career.
During his professional career, Robbie achieved notable success on the international circuit, including reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open and winning numerous tournaments. His consistent performances across almost ten years of competition provided him with the experience and insight that now underpin his work as a coach.
After retiring from the professional game, Robbie established an elite academy for top-level and aspiring professionals. Through this programme, he has coached over 10 players ranked in the world’s top 75, including three who broke into the top 20. His coaching ability has also taken him to some of the UK’s most prestigious clubs, including The Queen’s Club and Roehampton Club, where he continues to work with athletes at a variety of levels.
Robbie’s philosophy centres on a personalised approach to development. He believes every athlete has their own strengths and tailors his coaching to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. With his vast experience, Robbie builds comprehensive programmes that address every aspect of performance — from technical execution and tactical awareness to physical conditioning and mental resilience — helping athletes to maximise their potential.
