COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Jack is a double Olympian who represented Great Britain at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay. Retiring from competition at the age of 28, Jack has since built a career dedicated to both high performance and mental wellbeing, combining his experiences as an elite athlete with his passion for supporting others to thrive.
As a world-class athlete, Jack competed in two Olympic Games and secured European titles and World Championship medals in both individual and relay events. His career on the track saw him compete against the best in the world, cementing his reputation as one of Britain’s leading hurdlers.
Following his retirement from athletics, Jack stepped into new arenas where his leadership and expertise have had wide-reaching impact. He served as a mental health ambassador for Mind and YoungMinds after being diagnosed with depression, bipolar tendencies, and anxiety following the 2012 Olympics. He also worked with the House of Commons on mental health reform in elite sport.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jack led on wellbeing for BBC Studios, where he was solely responsible for 30 offices worldwide and more than 10,000 people. He also went on to lead a health tech organisation that was acquired by a Nasdaq-listed company. Today, Jack continues to influence sporting organisations through The Athlete Sustainability Report (TASR), a sports technology initiative uncovering the human side of success and bringing insight to teams about their athletes’ overall performance.

Alongside his wellbeing work, Jack coaches professionally in track and field. Among the athletes he supports is an Italian national record holder, world champion, and triple Olympian. He is also a sought-after keynote speaker, having spoken for over 500 organisations including Oxford and Cambridge universities, Johnson & Johnson, Channel 4, Nike, and Deloitte.
Jack’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that peak performance and wellbeing go hand in hand. He combines his lived experience as an Olympian with his professional expertise in health, leadership, and sport to create environments where individuals and teams can thrive. By addressing the human side of success, Jack empowers athletes and organisations to sustain performance while protecting and enhancing overall wellbeing.
